I needed a journal, so I created this blog. I believe that if your going to do something, you might as well go all out and use your abilities to the maximum. The result is something different than typical, I hope. Im not a teenage girl keeping a diary so don’t think of this as being that way. This is my dull life. If you want something like that of a teenage girl’s diary, go read David Hasslehoff’s blog. http://www.hasselhoff.com/blog/
A journal of one’s life is a useful tool in making one a better and effective person. Keeping a record by writing down the events of present day, and expressing your opinions on them, allows you to reference past events in your life later on in the future. If you are ever faced with the same ordeal, you know the outcome of how you dealt with it in the past. Having this allows a person to deal with new situations easier. We don’t need to make the same mistakes and dwell in the past. We learn from our actions and in result focus more on the present and living life. Some people think that they can keep all this information mentally. You are wrong, human nature is complicated and we only wish life was that easy.
Everything I’ve mentioned relates to why I named my site the way I did. “Past for the Present.” Learning from your past so you can be more effective in the present day… This blog is more for me than for the reader. I don’t give a shit about what my readers learn from my entries. This is for me to grow as a better person. If you don’t like something I write, I don’t give a shit. If you don’t find something entertaining, go fuck yourself. I’m not a dancing monkey. This site wasn’t created to show how cool I am. I don’t hang out with celebrities; I don’t have an outrageous event filled life. Simply ghetto cliche, “Im keeping it real.”
I have no specific guideline for writing in this journal. Life in unpredictable and extremely confusing, my blog will be the same way since it will relate to my life. Life is ironic; my blog will be the same. Life is sometimes wonderful; my blog will sometimes be wonderful. Life is unfair; my blog will be unfair, if that is even possible.
Usually on blogs, the writer will either write in first person, second person, and the weirdo’s will write in third person. I will do all of the latter. I will write based one how I feel that day. Some days I wont even write. I will leave a blank page and let you read my mind telepathically. No, not really… My goal is simple. I want to look back at the good times and bad times(probably won’t write about these much) of my life using this blog, and see the person I’ve became. Hopefully a decent one.
